ABOUT THE POSITION
The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in transforming Camden Center’s financial infrastructure. As the first in-house accounting professional, this individual will rebuild and optimize financial processes, develop a robust accounting framework, and create a foundation for long-term growth. Camden Center operates in concert with multiple entities that support its operations, requiring seamless financial integration. This role will oversee accounting across all entities, with a particular focus on intercompany finances. The ideal candidate is a strategic, creative, and collaborative problem-solver who is ready to dig in and make a meaningful impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Rebuild Financial Processes: Assess and redesign existing accounting workflows, systems, and procedures to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Intercompany and Consolidations: Oversee and manage intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reporting: Develop and produce accurate and timely financial statements to guide strategic decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the creation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance and recommending adjustments as necessary.
- Compliance: Stay informed of federal, state, and local financial regulations, ensuring the organization remains fully compliant.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead an accounting and bookkeeping team as needed, providing training, mentorship, and support to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare for and support external audits, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes, leveraging technology and best practices.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience working with or managing an outsourced bookkeeping team.
- Proven experience rebuilding and optimizing accounting systems and processes.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated expertise with intercompany transactions and consolidations.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks, Salesforce and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive, builder mindset.
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare or mental health services.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
- Track record of success in high-growth environments.
POSITION DETAILS
- This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 annualized salary per year, commensurate with experience.
